Make nighttime photographic portraits in this fun and interactive experience You can become a ghost haunting the streets of historic downtown Grass Valley or let your creativity loose and paint with light using bursts of glowing color. You’ll receive a completely unique digital photo of yourself or your group – ready to post on social media and share with your friends.
If you would like to learn to make these photos yourself, bring a camera that can make a 60-second exposure and a tripod.

Experience GuideDouglas Hooper has a BA in photography. He has been an official photographer for Burning Man. He has done three dozen catalogs worth of product shots, and over 300 weddings. Douglas has managed custom photo labs. He has become an expert in night photography, and teaches this subject. He’s received many awards. Douglas is the president, and one of the master critics for the 130+ member Nevada County Camera Club.

Guides may cancel if the minimum number of signups (2 people) is not reached within 24 hours of the scheduled event. Extreme weather or other unforeseen emergencies also may cancel this event.
